Our Youth Ministries and Programs

Sunday Worship and Church School
Youth in grades 7 - 12 are encouraged to participate in worship with their families either at 8:00 or 9:30 services. Church Sunday School classes for Mid and Senior High youth are offered (Sept. - May) from 11:00 - 12:00 noon in Craig Hall.

Music Programs

Discipleship Class
This special class is for youth interested in membership in The United Church of Los Alamos. Please speak to Pastor Keith Lewis, 662-2971 for more information.

Youth Fellowship Activities
During the school year, the Mid High Youth groups meets from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons in Craig Hall and Thursday lunch at Los Alamos High School at 12:42 pm as well as work with a Wednesday evening program we will call Mid-Week Peak.

The "PEAK" is meant to be a time to gather outside of the church setting ina home for a light meal and study time. We'll eat starting at 6....gather for study at 6:30 pm and wrap it by 7 pm. Please check your emails for the home. Interested in opening your home for a Wednesday evening? Do you make the best frozen Lasagna you've ever eaten and want to help provide a meal? Contact Pastor Keith Lewis at 662-2971. I look forward to hearing from you. We all look forward to a great year together at the United Church.

Game Night at Urban Park is simply a time to be outside, have fun…grab a snack and enjoy the park.

Hangtime is free time to shoot a game of pool…catch-up with friends in Craig Hall.

Thursday Lunch is an opportunity to grab a quick bite to eat with friends.

Keeping our young people connected with the church is our goal for Summer 2009!

MID HIGH YOUTH GROUP – Lock-In in Graves Hall on Wednesday, June 17^th at 5 pm until Thursday, June 18^th at 7 am.

MONDAY NIGHT AT THE PIT – Every Monday evening throughout the summer until August 24^th, the M & E Board is sponsoring Monday Night at the Pit. Beginning at 5:30 pm each Monday, college students and interested church members will be served a free light dinner.

Opportunities for Service

Youth are given the opportunity to serve as members on all boards and committees of the church. This is a great way to learn and to be more involved in decisions made by the church boards that affect the congregation. They are also encouraged to participate in Sunday worship by serving as liturgist, greeter,or ushers; by providing the children's message; and by contributing to the music program. Mexico Mission Trip
Each year during Spring Break, over 60 high school youth and adult sponsors from our church and the community travel to either Juarez or Tijuana to build homes for those without adequate shelter.
