The first public concert in December 1944, was Handel's "Messiah" which was so well received that it became a repeated favorite, having been done at least a dozen times over the past 55 years. The most recent performance of the "Messiah" was in May 1998, and was a community chorus celebration to honor all past singers and directors. Many of the concerts were done in collaboration with, or assisted by members of, the Los Alamos Symphony Orchestra. The repertoire has included such major works as: |
