Discover Our Town: Local Economics 101

Key Economic Issues Facing Our Community

Our Town is an initiative undertaken by LACDC with the goal of helping to raise awareness and understanding in the community of the five key issues we currently face in our efforts to achieve economic sustainability. The series includes "position papers" presenting the viewpoint of LACDC relating to the issues.

The key issues to be addressed in the course of the series are derived from two sources:

The Our Town series will address the five critical issues for sustainability of our local economy over the course of the year:

  • Support and retain LANL as the area's best wealth producing employer
