Gail Zimmerman
I joined LAAFB about 4 years ago. I was the Secretary for a year and have been the President for the last two years. I am currently a member of the Los Alamos Ski Patrol and have helped the Lab's Moulage Team when needed. I have worked with the Laboratory Emergency Management and Response group during at least three major exercises and several lesser drills and worked with Sandia on one of their major exercises.
My training is as follows:
I am, by profession and training, an Electrical Engineer and a Trainer. I have worked at LANL since 1984 in DX Division (as a Detonator Engineer) and HR Division (in Training and Development Group) and am currently assigned to ESA Division (WETF, as a Technical Procedure Writer).
My hobbies are: running, walking, hiking, and biking (road and mountain); skiing (alpine and Nordic) and snowshoeing; camping; and building a house in Colorado on a small piece of land I have the privilege of owning a share of.
Gail may be reached at gpz@lanl.gov.
